Heritage Harvest Project
Cultivating Food Memory, Seed Stories & Community Resilience
The Heritage Harvest Project (HHP) is the foundational program that sparked Cultivate’s mission. Since 2009, HHP has been dedicated to preserving heirloom seeds, promoting traditional farming knowledge, and connecting communities to the cultural roots of food.
Key Initiatives:
Heirloom gardens at local farms and historic sites
Community seed swaps and storytelling events
Chef collaborations focused on heritage ingredients
Educational outreach on biodiversity and food sovereignty
Legacy & Evolution:
From barn dinners to public seed swaps, the Heritage Harvest Project has evolved, but its heart remains the same: a commitment to honoring the stories and flavors that make our region unique.
